Carl E. Peschel, 85 of Findlay, passed away at 11:07 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Blanchard Valley Hospital. Carl was born on August 27, 1933 in Findlay to the late Arthur J. and Mildred E. (Taylor) Peschel.
Carl married Beverly Jane Bradfield on August 29, 1959 and she survives, along with two daughters, Kelley Jane Peschel of Tampa, Florida and Karen Lynn Peschel of Findlay. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald J. Peschel in California.
Mr. Peschel retired from Bowling Green State University where he was a Financial Advisor for more than 30 years. He was a member of The First Presbyterian Church in Findlay and former Treasurer for the Maumee Valley Presbytery.
He was a 1951 graduate of Findlay High School, and a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. Carl was a model railroader and also volunteered at the Hancock County Parks District, CHOPIN Hall, and First Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME 500 Lima Ave Findlay, Ohio.
The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jessica Commeret Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
