Charles Jack Frost, age 84 of Findlay, passed away at 9:24 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green, Ohio. Charles was born on October 6, 1934 in Columbus Grove, Ohio to Maynard and Evamae (Swindler) Frost.
Charles met the love of his life, Barbara Jameson, 65 years ago in January of 1954. They were married on March 29, 1958. Barbara survives along with their son Kevin Charles Frost of Findlay; grandchildren Tyler E. (Noelle) Frost of Findlay, Victoria (Caleb) Davis of McComb, and Jacob Frost of Findlay; great grandchildren Aubree, Haas and Carlee Davis; two nieces, Sharon Curl and Carol (Keith) Cunningham; and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Frost. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Frost and a sister, Kathryn Lusk.
Charles retired from working in the office of Cooper Tire and Rubber Company. After retirement, he was rehired by Cooper to be a driver until 2006. He also stayed busy in his retirement as driver for HATS and worked in the hardware department at Walmart. Charles liked camping and traveling by motorcycle. He and his family once took a coast to coast motorcycle trip. He greatly enjoyed the company of his four legged companions, Wags and Rags. Charles served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961. He was a member of the Findlay First Church of the Nazarene.
Visitation for friends and family of Charles will take place from 2-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2019 and on Friday before the funeral service from 10-11:00 a.m. at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME, 500 Lima Ave Findlay, Ohio. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Mike McClurg officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery with military rights by the Hancock Veterans Memorial Squad.
