Virginia Roberta Graves, 98 of Findlay and formerly of the Vanlue area for over 73 years, died at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Brookdale Senior Living. Virginia was born on August 13, 1921 in McDonald Township in Hardin County, Ohio to the late Robert and Irene (McCarty) Dunson.
She married Allie C. Graves on March 9, 1940 and he preceded her in death on July 3, 2003. Virginia was preceded in death by two brothers, Neil Dunson and Larry Dunson, and a sister, Eileen Weidinger.
Virginia is survived by two children, Gary W. (Connie) Graves of rural Findlay, and Sue (Burnette) Hannah of Vanlue, Ohio.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tamara (Frank) Crockett, Greg (Jonica) Graves, Angela (Brent) Wehrle, and Kristi Miller; eleven great grandchildren, Nick Crockett, Anna Crockett, Emma (Cole) Robinson, Micah Crockett, Asa Crockett, Madison Graves, Alexa Graves, Logan Graves, Drew (Karlee) Bostic, Tre` Miller, and Trent Miller; and a great great grandson, Maverick Bostic.
Virginia was a long-time member of the Vanlue Christ United Methodist Church and she was formerly employed in food service at Marathon Oil Company as well as being a homemaker.
Visitation will be held at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastor Clifford Graves, Pastor Frank Crockett, and Pastor Robert Greene officiating.
Burial will follow in Zion Bloom Cemetery, south of Vanlue.
