Mary Ann Bucher, 81 of Findlay died at 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
Mary Ann was born on March 1, 1937 in Delphos, Ohio to the late Roger and Verna (Collar) Slusser. She married Norman Ray Bucher on September 1, 1962 and he survives. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage.
Also surviving are her children Lisa (Steve) Waaland of Findlay, Ohio, Jeff Bucher of Elida, Ohio, and Jim (Megan) Bucher of Huron, Ohio; grandchildren: Andrew Waaland of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Matthew Waaland of Rocky Hill, Connecticut, Brianne Bucher of Huron, Ohio and Lauren Bucher of Huron, Ohio; a brother, David Slusser of South Texas; and sisters-in-law: Alanda Slusser of Michigan, and Delores Warmuth of Lima, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Slusser.
Mary Ann graduated from high school in Vaughnsville, Ohio. She later graduated from Parkview Methodist School of Nursing in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She worked as an RN at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and at Lima Memorial Hospital. She also worked part time at the Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay and the Good Samaritan Home in Arlington. She also was a stay at home mother and a homemaker.
She and her parents shared their love of "Up North" Michigan with family continuing still today. She loved Amish country and genealogy including visiting local cemeteries. She was a member of the Welsh Society and CCL for years. She was a member of the West Independence United Methodist Church where she was involved with bible studies and Sunday School.
Mary Ann above all will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Visitation will be held from 5-8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME 500 Lima Ave Findlay, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Weatherman officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora, Ohio.
