Leeota Jean Sczublewski "Jeanie", age 57 of Carey, Ohio and formerly of California passed away at 9:34 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at her residence. Leeota was born on September 13, 1962 in Bluffton, Ohio to Richard E. and Rebecca (Ward) Woodruff and they survive in Carey, Ohio.
On June 18, 1984 Jeanie was married to Mark S. Sczublewski in Findlay, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, along with her parents; her children Joy (Buck-Matt) Thomas of Findlay, and Jesse (Stephanie) Sczublewski of Bellflower, California; a granddaughter, Cheyenne Thomas; sisters Leah Anne Vantrease and Danielle (Jay) Carmack; and many nieces and nephews.
Jeanie attended Liberty-Benton High School her freshman and sophomore year and Hope Temple Christian School in Findlay her junior and senior year, graduating from Hope Temple in 1980. During school she was a go-getter, involved in band and cheerleading. In 1979 she was selected to travel to Europe for a month with the American Youth Symphony and Choir.
She graduated from the University of Toledo in 1986. She was a concert pianist and traveled all over the world sharing her musical talent. She was a minister of music in several churches in Ohio, Georgia, and California. She was a beloved music teacher that inspired many young people to further careers in musical talents, last teaching in San Bernadino, California.
Jeanie was a devout servant of her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and is worshiping among the angels now.
Visitation for friends and family of Jeanie will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio.
The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Bishop Terry McBeath and Pastor Kenny McBeath officiating. Burial will follow at Bishop Cemetery.
