Helen Bernice Zeiter, age 84 of Findlay, Ohio and formerly of Lorain, Ohio, passed away at 5:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria, Ohio. Helen was born on September 17, 1934 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Harrison and Ruth (Irmes) Davis.
Helen was married to Carmon R. Zeiter on December 29, 1951. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1997. She is survived by their children: Brenda Olah of Findlay, Ohio, David R. Zeiter (Mary Lou) of Lorain, Ohio, Deborah A. Boone of Lorain, Ohio, Cathy L. (Jeff) Frederick of Findlay, Ohio, and Robert E. (Wendy) Zeiter of Findlay, Ohio; twelve grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by 2 sons-in-law, Brad Olah and Rick Boone. She was the last survivor of twelve siblings.
Helen was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a former member of the Lorain Eagles Club. Helen lived a simple life. She loved crocheting, playing Bingo, playing the lottery, and going out to eat. She loved to watch game shows- especially Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right, and Family Feud.
The family would like to thank the staff at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Fostoria for the care they provided to Helen during her last days.
Visitation for family and friends of Helen will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12 noon on Monday, February 25, 2019 at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio. A funeral service will begin at 12 noon following the visitation on Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Spann officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay.
