Marilyn L. Blosser, affectionately known as "Grandma Duke" or "Miss Marilyn," peacefully passed away on March 18th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A vibrant soul, Marilyn, 90, embraced life with enthusiasm, leaving behind a legacy of joy, kindness, and unwavering strength.
Born in Findlay to Harry and Arthelma (Tooman) Durain, Marilyn celebrated her 90th birthday just last November, surrounded by those dearest to her heart. She was a pillar of her community, dedicating her professional life to various roles that reflected her commitment to serving others.
Marilyn's warm spirit and boundless energy were evident in her many pursuits. From her days as a custodian at St. Michael's Primary School, where she was fondly referred to as "Miss Marilyn," to her roles in retail and as a caregiver, Marilyn touched countless lives with her compassion and diligence.
Known for her impeccable style and infectious charisma, Marilyn was a beacon of light to all who knew her. Whether she was line dancing, polka dancing, or simply spending time with loved ones, Marilyn's presence illuminated every room she entered.
She was a devoted mother to her children, fiercely protective and endlessly supportive. Marilyn's love knew no bounds, extending to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly. Her Christmas candy was legendary, a testament to her generous spirit and culinary talents.
In addition to her professional accomplishments and vibrant personality, Marilyn was a cherished member of various organizations, including the Findlay Moose Lodge #698 and Findlay Amvets. She leaves behind a multitude of friends and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Arthelma Durain, her siblings, Dorothy Robinette, Marie Keel, Jerry Durain, and Bobby Durain, her daughter, Pamela S. Reimund, and her son, William (Billy) P. Martin, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Kessler, daughter, Dawn M. Breitigam-Bell, her sons, Dale G. Dillon, Jr., and Ricky G. (Lisa) Dillon, along with her grandchildren, Nathan (Angela) Powell, Ashly (Dev) Gilmore, Nicholas (Jillian) Powell, Amanda (Nick) Hinds, Tyler (Ashley) Dillon, Emily (Luke) Alyea, Feather (Jeff) Brown, Joshuah (Ashley) Breitigam, and Marcus Breitigam. She loved her great-grandchildren dearly and was able to tell them how proud she is of each and every one of them. They are: Sophie, Peyton, Loghan, and Declan Brown with whom she shared the same birthday 80 years apart; Jessica and Jenna Sue Powell; Naomi, Jack, Adam, Alana, and Aaron Powell; Olivia, Easton, and Noah Hinds; Sutton and Bellamy Dillon; and Paxton Alyea, all who will carry her legacy forward with love and pride.

In Marilyn's honor, her family kindly requests that donations be made to Moose Charities, 155 N. International Drive, Mooseheart, Illinois 60539 or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959, in lieu of flowers.
